Psychotherapy & Counselling Services

My approach to Counselling is flexible in that I adapt according to the needs of the individual  and I do not have any one approach - I am however very much "action based" this means  the I use various techniques and tools to offer clients opportunities to work through their problems. Talking and understanding is still very much a huge part of the healing process, however help with moving on often involves some form of re training of the mind/behaviours and habits.

 Counselling Dundee Psychotherapy in Dundee

Psychotherapy is all about opening  a very powerful tool, infact the most powerful tool we have - the mind. The main source of therapy is verbal communication.

Psychotherapy is a set of techniques intended to improve mental health, emotional or behavioral issues in individuals. These issues often make it hard for people to manage their lives and achieve their goals. Psychotherapy is aimed at these problems, and solves them using a number of different approaches and techniques. This involves client(s), discussing their issues in an effort to discover what they are and how they can manage them. What I aim to achieve for my clients is personal change and growth, to talk to them and help them in a friendly, confidential and professional manner. There are many reasons why people come to psychotherapy and counselling and we all have different goals. My aim is to provide the space  and time for the exploration of these issues, and offer the support needed to reach those goals. Maybe most importantly I can offer the chance for you to be heard and develop in a safe environment. Psychotherapy is a powerful source for change and development, some techniques work better than others - depending on the clients needs and wants. This is why I am eclectic, in that I dont have any set way of practicing and never make up my mind how I will carry out therapy until I have had a full thorough consultation, and even then I am happy to change at any time if things are not working the way YOU would like.
